Over the last year, Cassidy and I have been engaged in an intense study of how our emotional, spiritual, and mental health impacts our physical health. Through our studies, we have found that our physical ailments often have spiritual and emotional causes rather than a simple breakdown of organs or processes in the body. This is not to say that this is always the case. Some causes of health problems may be physical, some may be mental and emotional, and others yet spiritual.
Therefore, whenever we are working on fixing a health problem, we have found it advantageous to work on it from all angles – emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Unfortunately, one of the challenges we may experience when trying to heal may be ourselves.
The scriptures tell us how truly powerful our tongues are. The book of Proverbs tells us that “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof” (Proverbs 18:21). We are also admonished, “There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword, but the tongue of the wise promotes health” (Proverbs 12:18). The apostle James further observed that “the tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature…” (James 3:6). The very words we speak have the power to influence every level of our health: spiritual, emotional, and physical.
So that begs the question: do we bless ourselves with our words? Or do we curse ourselves? Whenever we use words such as “I am always sick,” “I am never going to get better,” “I always have problems with my liver,” etc., we are decreasing the likelihood that we will actually heal and get better. For the book of Galatians tells us that “whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” (Galatians 6:7-8).
Instead, we ought to bless our health: I will get better; I will find answers. I am healing.
For this reason, we have created several new formulas to aid in healing on both an emotional/spiritual level and on the physical level. We call these “Bless My” Herbs. The idea is that while you take the herbs, you also repeat the name of the formula. So if, for example, you were using Bless My Heart, you would repeat the phrase, “Bless my heart,” while taking it. This helps you to be in alignment with your intention of taking the formula.
The formulas we currently have are:
- Bless My Liver (to support bile movement, detoxification, and proper liver function)
- Bless My Kidneys (to support detoxification, urination, and filtration)
- Bless My Pancreas (to support enzyme secretion, digestion, and blood sugar regulation)
- Bless My Heart (to support circulation and heart function)
- Bless My Immune System (formerly Immune Defense; to support immune function)
This is just the beginning. We will continue to create new formulas to help bring healing.
Of course, this seems really simple – speaking good, positive words to ourselves. But if we can’t do that first of all, we will have a very hard time getting anything to stick when it comes to improving our health.
